As the canvas holds a vessel of nature, it reflects the human figure. Humans have the ability to move, and with movement we can explore. We get to travel through a spectrum of worlds and resonate everything we encounter. We bring these worlds into the field of our senses. Just as I say, “I am Michael”, We make identity statements with our sensory fields ass we say, “I am feeling…” “I am seeing…” etc. We embody and carry our spaces. We move through them to carry and embrace life. I’ve also thought of this humanoid shape like a coffin too. It reminds me nature is not only a habitat for life, but also for death. We not only embody the known, but also the unknown as well.
